The Pleasant Valley Ecumenical Council's board of directors will meet at 9 a.m., Thursday, at Zion Lutheran in Brodheadsville.
Cleaning supplies
The TLC Mom's Group at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church is holding its annual drive for Shepherd's Maternity House. The home's storage closet is in need of cleaning supplies.
Anyone wishing to help is asked to put donations in McCawley Hall in the TLC box. Items will be collected until the group has its last meeting for the year at 9:45 a.m. May 1.
They invite other mothers to join them to see what the group is about.

Pleasant Valley School District Band Parents will meet at 7 p.m., Thursday, at the high school.
TOPS group
Pleasant Valley Presbyterian Church, Pilgrims Way, Brodheadsville, hosts a TOPS group every Thursday evening at 7 p.m. For more information call the church at 570-992-0158 weekday mornings.
Gardeners for Glory
Effort United Methodist Church Gardeners for Glory set the church's cleanup and planting day for Saturday. Weather permitting, volunteers will beautify the church grounds this weekend.
Musical at PVI
"Peter Pan Jr." will be performed at Pleasant Valley Intermediate at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday.
Pleasant Valley Middle School is preparing for its musical, "Fame Jr." Senior citizens are invited to come view it for free at 3:30 p.m., Thursday, May 8, at the middle school. Light refreshments will be served.

PIC Clean Up
Pride in Chestnuthill will hold a cleanup on Saturday, beginning at 7 a.m., provided the temperature is at least 45 degrees at that time, and will meet at the Chestnuthill Township Municipal Building on Route 715.
Greyhound adoption
Pocono Greyhound Adoption will be holding a Meet & Greet at Tractor Supply Co., Route 209, Brodheadsville, from noon to 3 p.m., Saturday.

Kids Against Hunger
Zion Lutheran, Brodheadsville, is hosting a Kids Against Hunger event. A dinner and a concert on Saturday will help raise funds for the outreach program of packaging some 30,000 meals for hungry people locally and globally which will take place at Zion on June 7.

The Chestnuthill Township board of supervisors will meet at 7 p.m., Tuesday, May 6 at the municipal building in Brodheadsville.
Band concert
The Pleasant Valley High School Band will present its spring concert at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 6.
Blood drive
Middlecreek Christian Church, Dorshimer Road, Kresgeville, will host an American Red Cross blood drive from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday, May 14.
On Tuesday, May 29, Effort UMC, will host one from 2 to 6 p.m. as well.
Free Child Safety Fair
GFWC Western Pocono Women's Club is co-sponsoring its third annual free Child Safety Fair with the West End Park and Open Space Commission from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 17 at the Chestnuthill Township Park on Route 715 in Brodheadsville. State police can fingerprint one's child and check car seats.
West End Ambulance and West End Fire Company will be present for folks to tour their vehicles and trucks. A fire safety house or simulated smoke house from Tobyhanna Army Depot will be available to demonstrate safe ways to escape a house fire.
Pocono Medical Center will have information available. Exercising and being healthy through puppetry and storytelling will be new this year.
Safe/Healthy Snacks for Kids will be shared by Lindsay Vaughn, dietitian from the Brodheadsville ShopRite store, and Boy Scout Troop 113 will be selling food.
Free information regarding car seats, school bus safety, etc. will be available inside the park building during the fair.
