Graduates from University of Oregon

Patrick Martino of Jim Thorpe graduated in June with a master of science degree in organic chemistry from the University of Oregon, while maintaining a 4.0 GPA.

As part of the program, Martino worked as a research and development chemist intern at W.R. Grace in Albany, Oregon, for nine months. He spent most of his time working on pharmaceutical intermediates, as well as polyolefination catalysts.

Martino has accepted a full-time laboratory director position in the chemistry department at Bucknell University.
