Credit default
Midland Funding, San Diego, Calif., filed an action against Jennifer Hurley, 72 Butz St. C, Weatherly, alleging she defaulted on a credit card account. Sought is $2,223.86.
Sues over pool
Kerri L. Bretzik, 1672 Hemlock St., Lehighton, filed a civil action against Frank Shemansik, 14 W. Amidon St., Summit Hill, identified as a general contractor, and Sikorsky Concrete Products, LLC, 760 Little Gap Road, Palmerton, identified as engaging in the manufacture, delivery, and pouring of concrete products.
The suit states in July 2010, the plaintiff hired Shemansik to install an in- ground pool at his residence with a signed contract. Construction began in August 2010.
The suit alleges the concrete used, made and delivered by Sikorsky, was delivered and poured. Almost immediately after it was delivered the concrete began to crack, the suit charges. The plaintiff had it tested by an independent source, which indicated it was the wrong concrete mix.
The suit further alleges Shemansik verbally told the plaintiff he would remove the defective concrete. The suit states the work was never completed and repairs not made.
The five count suit seeks damages in excess of $50,000 on each count.
