Author to appearat Dimmick
Jeff Davis, author of "Nesting with the Loons" will be at the Dimmick Friends Book Store on Saturday, from noon to 4 p.m. for a meet and greet.
A Jim Thorpe/Mauch Chunk native and graduate of LCCC, he is affiliated with Rainfire Publishing. His recently released novel is a humorous depiction of bureaucracy gone wild digging underneath the fingernails of the typical blue collar worker, and satirizing both modern day relationships and business life.
The Dimmick Friends Book Store is located at 58 Broadway in downtown Jim Thorpe, two doors up from the Dimmick Library.

Bloodmobile location changed
The American Red Cross Bloodmobile visit is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb 19 at Mauch Chunk Rod and Gun Club from 1-6 p.m.
To be a donor, you must be at least 17 years of age and older. The bloodmobile was originally scheduled to be held at Memorial Hall. Please note the change of location.
Class of 1964
The next gathering of the members of the 1964 graduating class of Jim Thorpe Area High School will take place at noon, Wednesday, Feb. 19 at Trattoria 903 Restaurant, Route 903, Penn Forest Township.
