An unsung hero

Dear Editor,

I believe a word of thanks and commendation is in order for the unsung heroes who reported the fire on Flagstaff mountain to the proper authorities (Feb. 1). Your vigilance, concern for the safety of others, and stewardship of the land ultimately resulted in the discovery of the remains of Angela Steigerwalt. This in turn allowed a serious investigation to begin much sooner than it may have had the fire not been reported.

Thank you. Our community is much better for having people like you residing among us.
