Touchdown Club
The Jim Thorpe Olympian Touchdown Booster Club will meet this evening at 6 o'clock in the high school auditorium. On the agenda will be the banquet preparations, 2014 golf tournament, sweat shirt fundraiser and the 2014 officers and committees.
Parents, guardians and friends of the football participants are invited to attend the monthly meetings.
Bible study
The women's ecumenical Bible study group of St. John's Lutheran Church, South Avenue, will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Good Shepherd room of the church. The group leader and those attending will be studying the Gospel of Mark. All women of the community are invited to attend.
Snow ordinance
Residents of the community are reminded that the 2014 odd/even sides of the street snow removal ordinance is now in effect. Notices have been placed on poles of the streets throughout the town. Cars should be removed by 7 p.m. until 7 p.m. the next day. Cars not moved during these hours will be ticketed by the police department.
