Panther Valley
Golden Agers
The Panther Valley Golden Agers will meet on Monday, Jan. 13 at the St. John Slovak Lutheran Church, 1 E. Abbott St., Lansford, weather permitting. Bingo is scheduled to be played.
Members celebrating birthdays September through December will be honored. Dues for 2014 are being collected now through April.
The next meeting is scheduled for Monday, Jan. 27 weather permitting.
Summit Hill
St. Paul's Lutheran
St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 123 W. White St., Summit Hill, will hold worship service on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. Vicar David Lembo will officiate.
Immediately following the service, church decorations will be taken down. Any volunteers to help will be sincerely appreciated.
Sunday school class is at 9 a.m. All children are invited to attend.
Nesquehoning
Conservation Club
The next meeting of the Nesquehoning Conservation Club will be held tonight at Maple Shade Meadows at 6:30 p.m.
The club is looking to form a committee for the Spring Fishing Derby at this time.
Members are also reminded to bring their Redner's Save-a-Tapes to the meeting.
VFW Ladies Auxiliary
The regular monthly meeting of the Ladies Auxiliary to Nesquehoning Memorial VFW Post 8008 was held Dec. 10 during the annual Christmas party at Lengyel's Restaurant.
District 20 Auxiliary will meet at noon, Saturday, Jan. 25, at the Walnutport Post. Department President Julie Dever will make her visit at that time, and there will be a Parade of Presidents to honor her.
A donation was made to the Women's Veteran Fund.
The next meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 14, at the Post Home, weather permitting.
