Sues over fall
Antoinette Mullen, 324 Sand Pit Road, Mount Bethel, filed a civil action against J&R Slaw Inc., 438 Riverview Road, Lehighton.
According to the suit on July 22, 2013, the plaintiff was employed as a tractor trailer driver for F.T. Silfies Inc., of Allentown, and was delivering a load of slag to the defendant's precast concrete plant in Lehighton.
Upon arrival she was directed by an employee of the defendant firm to a silo and was shown what nozzle she should hook up to so that she could off load the slag.
After backing up her rig to the silo she exited her truck and observed a puddle of water in her path. A worker for the defendant observed her begin to traverse the puddle but did not warn her of potential danger. The suit states the area that appeared to be a puddle was actually a ditch, from which the safety grate had been cleared for cleaning. The suit states there were no cones, barriers, and or warning signs alerting the plaintiff of the uncovered ditch.
As a result, the suit charges, she fell into the ditch and struck her right elbow and right hip sustaining serious bodily injuries detailed in the suit.
Negligence is alleged against the defendant and sought are damages in excess of $50,000 plus interest, costs, and fees.

Discover Bank, New Castle, Delaware, filed a complaint against Joseph E. McDonough, 227 N. Second St., Lehighton, alleging he defaulted on a credit card account. Sought is $10,133.78.
Divorces started
William H. Ravert Jr., 735 Maxine Drive, Lehighton, filed against Audrey Ravert, same address. They were married Sept. 12, 1992.
Anthony L. Guzenski, 938 W. Tremont St., Whitehall, filed against Wendy Guzenski, 2122 Municipal Road, Lehighton. They were married Sept. 2, 1989.

M&T Bank, c/o 475 Crosspoint Parkway, Getzville, N.Y., filed an action against Mary L. Giampapa, 229 Keats Lane, Albrightsville, alleging she defaulted on a motor vehicle installment loan. Sought is $30,661.19 plus interest, costs, and fees.
