Friendship Picnic

The Friendship Picnic will be held at noon on July 31 at the St. Matthew's UCC picnic grove located on Grove Road. If you plan on attending, bring a covered dish and your own beverage.

The Friendship Picnic began almost 25 years ago when Virginia Smith Anthony, Sarah Smith Serfass, Iva Frable Kleintop and Mary Frantz Correll organized a little get-together for former St. Matthew's junior and senior choir members.

After a while, friends from the Kunkletown area's one-room schools started attending and they called it the Friendship Picnic.

This may be the last picnic if someone does not come forward to take charge. If anyone is interested, please contact the church office at 610-381-2442 or Virginia Anthony.

Chestnut Ridge Seniors

There will be no meeting of the Chestnut Ridge Seniors on Thursday. Their next get-together will be Aug. 14.
