Tamaqua couple celebrating 64 years

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Snyder of 313 E. Broad St., Tamaqua, will celebrate their 64th wedding anniversary on Tuesday.

They were married on July 29, 1950, in Zion Lutheran Church, Tamaqua, by the late Rev. Charles Schlitzer.

Mrs. Snyder is the former Joan Schlosser. She is retired after working as the Tamaqua borough secretary for 25 years.

Her husband is a disabled veteran with over 16 years of military service with the U.S. Army.

He was last employed as plant superintendent at the former Diversified Metals Corporation in Hometown.

The couple has two daughters, Suzanne Blanchard of Gatesville, Texas, and Kim Kropp of Tamaqua; three grandchildren, Christina Foeller in Alaska, Robert Foeller in Idaho and David Kotansky of Tamaqua.

They have two great-grandchildren, Hannah and Myriah Foeller in Idaho.
