Throughout the "good weather" months, the flag will fly in Ludlow Park in memory or honor of the veterans. Family members of veterans, or veterans themselves, can request to be scheduled by contacting Joseph O'Gurek, 645-5171.
In the first week of the program, the flag was in honor of Jack Bryant, World War II veteran who was grand marshal of the 2014 Summit Hill Memorial Day Parade.
This week, the flag was flown in memory of the late Joseph E. O'Gurek, who attained the rank of Technician 4th Grade with Battery A of the Army during World War II.
Beginning Monday and continuing for the week, the flag will wave in memory of the late Joseph S. Gieniec, who was also an Army veteran of World War II.
