We've reached a crossroad

Published June 07. 2014 09:00AM

Dear editor,

WE HAVE ARRIVED! America has taken the Bible out of schools, banned public prayer, torn down the Ten Commandments, eliminated the national day of prayer, and changed laws allowing children to use any restroom they choose if they feel they are "different." Yes, we have arrived at an important crossroad in history because of recent rulings allowing gay/lesbian marriage.

Consider this: "The men of the city were very wicked." "They said, where are the men who came to visit you tonight? Send them out so we may have 'our way' with them." "Even the women exchanged natural relations for unnatural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another." "Men committed indecent acts with other men." "Suddenly fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and the entire city was destroyed!" Note: archaeological evidence shows sulfur and asphalt found in this area to this day. "If that nation I warned repents of its evil, then I will relent and not inflict on it the disaster I had planned." "Then they will know that I am the Lord." "Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord."

All the above I found in the Bible; the same book that the pastor, minister, priest or any other person of the cloth will hold in their hand while performing a marriage of any gay/lesbian couple. Isn't that a bit hypocritical? Would that the book burns in their hands! We all need to pray for our nation to get back to God and his word.

Yes, Joe, I guess I am a religious fanatic, but I already have my bags packed, and I know where I am going when God calls me home!
