'History in Bloom' in Stroudsburg
The Monroe County Historical Association has announced the "History in Bloom, a tour of Stroudsburg's gardens" fundraiser, which will be held from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturday, June 21.
Gardens located in Stroudsburg's historic district and south Stroudsburg will be featured on the tour. The garden tour will begin at Bryant Park, which is located at the corner of Bryant Street and Park Avenue (Route 191) in south Stroudsburg.
Ten gardens will be featured on the tour. Homeowners and volunteers will be stationed in each garden to share their knowledge, methods, ideas and materials used to create their unique garden.
Experienced gardeners will be on-hand to answer gardening and landscape questions.
Reduced price tickets are available in advance at the Stroud Mansion, 900 Main St., Stroudsburg.
Day-of tickets will be available at the start of the garden tour at Bryant Park beginning at 9 a.m. through noon.
Tickets for drawings of the newly designed Liztech "Thanks a Bunch" garden pin, a Liztech gift card, and a basket of garden related items will be available for purchase at the Bryant Park site.
Also, Weber's Rimrock Gardens, 2217 Rimrock Drive, Stroudsburg, will donate a percentage of sales on the day of the event to the Monroe County Historical Association.
