Summer lunch program

A free summer lunch program will be offered for children at the following locations:

• Summit Hill Heritage Center, 1 W. Hazard St.,

• Grace Community Church, 15 W. Ridge St. Lansford

• Christ Redeemer Church building, 151 Third St., Coaldale.

Beginning June 16, lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., Monday through Friday for children under the age of 18.

The menu for the coming week (subject to change) is as follows:

• Monday: Baked chicken stewed with carrots, baguette, banana.

• Tuesday: Roast turkey with gravy over stuffing, broccoli, mandarin oranges.

• Wednesday: Tuna salad sandwich on wheat bread, steamed green beans, apple.

• Thursday: Grilled chicken, American cheese and honey mustard dressing on a sandwich roll, cucumbers, sliced honey dew.

• Friday: Beef taco on soft taco shell, corn, whole orange.

Coaldale

Lions to meet

The next meeting of the Coaldale Lions will be held at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday in the Viennese Villa, 201 W. Ruddle St.

Bob Ames, club president, will chair the meeting.
