Dr. Melissa S. Auer and Dr. Brian C. Friel of Allentown were married Oct. 11, 2013, at St. Eleanor Parish in Collegeville, Montgomery County.
The bride is the daughter of Glenn and Sue Auer of Stevens Point, Wis.
Her husband is the son of James and Susan Friel of Whitehall.
A reception was held at the John James Audubon Center in Audubon, Montgomery County.
The bride is a graduate of Sheboygan Lutheran High School, Sheboygan, Wis.
She received a bachelor of science degree from Northern Michigan University and a doctor of osteopathic medicine from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine.
She is serving a residency in internal medicine at Lehigh Valley Hospital.
The groom is a graduate of Allentown Central Catholic High School.
He received a bachelor of science degree from the University of Pittsburgh and a doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine.
He is serving a residency in internal medicine at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown.
The couple currently lives in Allentown.
