Bird feeders made
Forty-two kids and many adults made bird feeders from pinecones at the Chestnuthill Township Park on Saturday, Feb. 22. Pictures are posted on the group website.
Relay for Life
Pleasant Valley High School, Brodheadsville, will again be the site for the West End Relay for Life being held May 31-June 1. Activities begin at 10 a.m.
Zion Noiz, the team from Zion Lutheran Church in Brodheadsville, will be one of the many participating team.
PIC meets
The Pride in Chestnuthill will meet at 7 p.m., Thursday at the Chestnuthill Township Municipal Building in Brodheadsville.
Volunteers sought
Tammy Hiestand of Brodheadsville, volunteer coordinator at VNA/Hospice of Monroe County, is seeking hospice volunteers. Needed are veterans and certified massage therapists to serve their clients.

Adoption Day
Safe Haven Pet Rescue will hold an adoption day from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 16, at Tractor Supply, Route 209, Brodheadsville. A pre-adoption application with references and a home visit before adoption is required.

Lions speaker
Western Pocono Lions club will meet Wednesday, March 19, for its monthly dinner meeting at The Old Mill Pizza on Route 209 in Sciota. The guest speaker will be Mark Baylis from the Valor Clinic Foundation.
Blood drive
An American Red Cross blood drive will be held at Wawa in Brodheadsville from 1 to 6 p.m., March 20. Call the Red Cross at 800-RED-CROSS to make an appointment.
Driver refresher
Folks needing the AARP eight-hour Smart Driver course, formerly the 55-Alive refresher course, can attend such a review being held from 1 to 5 p.m., Saturdays, March 22 and March 29, at Chestnuthill Park Building on Route 715, Brodheadsville.

Rent rebate help
The Chestnuthill Center in Brodheadsville will be the West End site for help with property tax/rent rebate forms for eligible seniors from 9 a.m. to noon, Wednesday, March 26.
