Summit Hill

Spring clean up

On Wednesday, May 7, Summit Hill will be hosting its spring clean up for the West side of town along with Laurel Drive and East and West Mountaintop Road. This day will also be regular garbage pickup.

Items to be picked up include: tires (no more than five), tire rims, auto body parts, refrigerators, freezers, vending machines, dehumidifiers, water coolers, heat pumps, washers, dryers and stoves.

All items shall have all chemicals removed and doors taken off. Freon must be removed from refrigerators, air conditioners, etc. and tagged or they will not take the items.

In addition, up to 10 bags of garbage will be collected. No electronics will be picked up such as TVs, computers, keyboards, monitors, etc.

Nesquehoning

Woman's club

The Nesquehoning Woman's Club will hold its Spring Tea at 7 p.m. Monday at the Zion Lutheran Church hall.

Carol Zickler, president will conduct the meeting.

Special guests will be members of the Panther Valley and Lehighton Women's Clubs.

Additional guests will be the fire chiefs and assistants from the borough's three fire companies.
