Area has great musical talent

Dear Editor,

How blessed we are here in Jim Thorpe and Lehighton. We have musical talent beyond compare. We need not drive a great distance. It's all right here and on Saturday May 17, it was the Mauch Chunk Opera House.

Mr. Randall Perry at the piano is superb.

The Bach and Handel Chorale is excellent.

Mr. Henry Long and The Perseverance Jazz Band couldn't be beat.

What a glorious way to spend a Saturday afternoon or evening, listening to all this fine musical talent right here in our own backyard.

I can't begin to tell you how much it meant to me.
