Palmerton Lions, Blue Mountain Health System to co-host health fair

The Blue Mountain Health System and Palmerton Lions Club will co-sponsor a community health fair at the Palmerton Hospital Cafeteria on Lafayette Avenue in Palmerton from 9 a.m. until noon on Saturday, June 7.

The health fair will include several health assessments, health screenings, chair massages, and an opportunity to meet with representatives from the Blue Mountain Health System and agencies from Carbon County and surrounding communities.

Information and education on a variety of health-related topics and services will be available.

Compliments of area businesses, there will also be chances to win several gift certificates and door prizes.

This health fair is open to all ages and there is no charge to participate. A light lunch will be provided to all participants.

Community members are encouraged to donate their used eyeglasses or hearing aids during this event.

A box will be available to place them in at the registration table.
