Contests winners

The Summit Hill Memorial Day Parade Committee has announced the winners of two contests it held in conjunction with the Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 26.

Judging for the home-decorating contest was done by out-of-town residents on Sunday, May 25.

The winners included: first place, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Dubosky, 117 E. Hazard St.; second place, Mr. and Mrs. John Polak, 238 W. White St.; and third place, Jim McHugh, 448 W. White St. The winners received cash prizes of $100, $50 and $25, respectively.

On Memorial Day, judging of floats in the four-division parade also took place. The winners were: first place, Winnie the Pooh Pre-School; second place, St. Gabriel's Italian Club; and third place, Marine Reserves Toys for Tots. They winners received cash prizes of $200, $100 and $50, respectively.
