Jim Thorpe couple wed 50 years

Mr. and Mrs. James Carroll of Jim Thorpe recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

They were married Oct. 31, 1964, by the Rev. Francis Adolf at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jim Thorpe.

Mrs. Carroll is the former Kathryn Felker, daughter of the late Frank and Catherine Felker of Jim Thorpe. Her husband is the son of the late James and Jetta Carroll, also of Jim Thorpe.

The Carrolls have four children: James, and his wife, Tracy (Watto) Carroll; Michael, and his wife Marie (Cerimele) Carroll; Robert, and his wife, Trisha (Yaich) Carroll; and Mary Kay and Greg Malaska, all of Jim Thorpe.

They have seven grandchildren: Ryan, Riley, Regan, Kelsey and Michael Carroll, and Maura and Hailey Malaska. They also have three step-grandchildren: Katie, Megan and Tricia Janowiak.

The Carrolls were honored at a party on Nov. 1, hosted by their children.
