James and Lynette Curran of Jim Thorpe have announced the engagement of their son, Donald A. Curran of Whiteman AFB in Missouri, to Kaitlin Craney of Windsor, Missouri, daughter of Diana Bone Craney of Jefferson City, Missouri and Jeff Craney of Grain Valley, Missouri.
The bride-to-be is a 2011 graduate of Schuyler County High School and currently is a student at UCM, studying to earn a degree in interior design.
She is currently employed as a caregiver at Amy's Loving Care.
The prospective bridegroom graduated from Jim Thorpe Area High School in 2007.
After graduating, he joined the United States Air Force, in which he has been enlisted for seven years.
He is stationed at Whiteman AFB, Missouri, in Aircraft Structural Maintenance (B-2 spirit).
He attended Airmen Leadership School in 2011 and has been the recipient of various medals and recognitions.
Donald proposed to Kaitlin at the Keystone Ski Resort in Colorado. The couple will be married on Sept. 6, 2015.
