The next regular meeting of the West End Republican Club will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Cherry's Sunset Family Restaurant. An optional dinner is at 6 p.m.
Sounds of the Season
The Pleasant Valley Choral Society, a Monroe County Community Choir, will present its annual Christmas concert, Sounds of the Season, at 7 p.m. Dec. 6, and at 3 p.m. Dec. 7, at the Pleasant Valley High School auditorium in Brodheadsville.
PVCS will be donating portions of the ticket sales to VALOR, Veterans Assisted Living Out Reach, a group focused on assisting veterans. For more information, visit www.valorclinic.org.
Pick Me Up Party
Our Lady Queen of Peace Church will visit local nursing homes in January or February, often a down time for residents. Currently the church is accepting donations for prizes for those visits. Items can include baby powder, toothpaste, soaps, lotions, shampoo, body spray, etc. Residents also love things like little baskets, plastic picture frames, hard candy, sun catchers, or anything to spruce up their rooms.
Donations may be dropped off to the church office. Last day for donations will be Dec. 19.
