PVEN needs

Pleasant Valley Ecumenical Network is asking the community for donations of holiday foods, like hams and turkeys, gravy, stuffing mixes, cranberry sauce, pie filling and muffin mixes.

The clothing department needs sheets, towels and blankets.

PVEN will gladly accept any gift cards from Weis or ShopRite to help purchase holiday meats.

Any of these items can be dropped off at St. Matthew's UCC during office hours of Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. and Sundays, 8-11:30 a.m.

PVEN Thanksgiving service

PVEN's annual community Thanksgiving service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at St. Peter's UMC in Saylorsburg. The offering will support the work of PVEN. Donations of nonperishable food items will be greatly appreciated.

PVEN volunteers

Volunteers are needed to help in PVEN's Christmas Toy Distribution to needy families on Dec. 17. If you would like to help, please call St. Matthew's UCC's office at 610-381-2442.

Exercising seniors

There is a low-impact exercise class for those over 55 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Kunkletown Volunteer Fire Company.
