Veterans organizations are there to help others
@$:Dear Editor,
After the second world war, after Korea and even after Vietnam, men and women who came out of service joined veterans organizations. Here they met other veterans who had things in common. They got things off their chest. They could talk to people who understood them. There were few or no stories of veterans going around and killing people or themselves. Now you have people coming out of service and they don't join any organizations.
I don't know if this is the reason bad things are happening. I don't know if joining an organization will help, but I don't think it can hurt. I think it's worth a try. Veterans are there to help. I am a Navy veteran.
I Remain,
