Trick or treat

Trick or Treat night in Coaldale will be observed from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 30.

Summit Hill

Historical society

The Summit Hill Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. today at the museum on Ludlow Street.

Agenda items are the Ludlow Park Project, lottery ticket sales, Penn State bus trip in November, Christmas program and decorating.

President Lou Vermillion will chair the meeting. The meeting is open to all.

Lansford

Special U.S. Navy service at St. John's

Tonight at 7, St. John's Lutheran Church, 1 E. Abbott St., Lansford, will hold a special service, celebrating the incorporation of the U.S. Navy with Holy Communion for those who wish to receive it.

All are welcome to this annual service. For those who wish to come early, Feed the People is holding an early Halloween celebration dinner from 5-6:30 p.m.

No one anticipates snow yet, but if the weather is questionable, please call Pastor Marjorie Keiter, 570-273-4038.
