Tamaqua High School Class of 1957 celebrates reunion
The Tamaqua High School Class of 1957 celebrated its 57th anniversary with a two-day reunion the weekend of Oct. 3 and 4. The event was held at the Best Western Plus in
Bethlehem. Class members in attendance were, first row from left, Joe Kleponis, Betty Stegmeier Lezousky, Delores Melatti Cherkasky, Joan Rice Birdsall, Phyllis Yost Anchorstar, Nancy Wolfe Kabana, Joyce Nahfnace and Betty Swenson Kochinsky; second row, Francis Silas, Don Krout, Carol Hoffman Schuster, Ann Arner Frommer, Frances Leiby Koch, Maureen Schock Makovetz, Marie Haluska Chin, Shirley Sell Lindenmuth and Joan Willing Gerber; third row, Dan Hess, Ron Fegley, Al Barnisky, Don Roberts, Richard Wentz, Bill Simmons and Jack Lindenmuth. Missing from the photo are Carolyn Meder Buzzard, Marlin Tirpak and Ed Bachert. Al Barnisky had the honor of making the first reservation and Ron Fegley traveled the furthest, from Yelm, Washington.
