Lehighton couple wed 50 years

Mr. and Mrs. Richard L. Smith of Lehighton are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married on Oct. 31, 1964, at First United Church of Christ in Palmerton.

Mrs. Smith is the daughter of the late George and Virginia Stocker of Lehighton. Her husband is the son of the late George and Louise Smith, also of Lehighton.

The celebrants have two children, Jeff, and his wife, Shelly, of Lehighton, and Jason, and his wife, Tina, of Jim Thorpe.

They have two grandchildren, Nathan Smith and Jena Smith, both of Lehighton.

They will celebrate with a family dinner.
