Protestant Slovak Cemetery Association

The next meeting of the Protestant Slovak Cemetery Association of Nesquehoning will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Zion Lutheran Church in Nesquehoning.

Anyone who has an interest in the cemetery is invited to come to this meeting to help with the maintenance of the cemetery, especially those who have relatives buried there.

Food Pantry

2014 food distribution dates for the Summit Hill Food Pantry in the Summit Hill Heritage Center on Hazard and Chestnut streets are as follows: Sept. 23, Oct. 28, Nov. 24 and Dec. 22.

Distribution will take place between 10-11:30 a.m.

There is no parking in the alley before 9:45 a.m. and no parking in the vacant lot.

Recipients are reminded to bring along extra strong shopping or tote bags.

Historical society

to meet

The Summit Hill Historical Society will meet at 7 tonight at the museum on Ludlow Street.

Agenda items are the Ludlow Park Project, fundraisers, Penn State bus trip and future programs.

The meeting is open to all.

Antique, Classic & Special Interest Car Show

The Tamaqua Street Machine Association and the Summit Hill Diligence Fire Co. 1 will hold an Antique, Classic & Special Interest car show at the Phillip Ginder Field in Summit Hill on Sunday.
