Good luck to teens
When you've been to your doctor so often
That you've read all the magazines
Try to schedule your next appointment
With the latest invasion of teens.
This invasion is nothing to worry about
No matter how crowded it seems
As these eager young warriors file in and out
They're here not to join gangs but teams.
They're here to get doctor's approval
To take part in sports at their school
But they first have to take care of studies
And then comes the court, field or pool.
How depressing to pick up a paper
And read of teen crimes on the street
How refreshing to see these young people
Preparing to meet and compete.
Let's not allow "Win or Loss" records
To deflate nor inflate their pride.
Let adults and fans be supportive
And remember how hard they tried.
Well the magazines stayed on the table
As I watched passing shorts, jeans and skirts
My waiting time passed really quickly.
I passed the time reading T-shirts.
Good Luck to all. Have a great season!
