Traffic citations issued in Nesquehoning
Nesquehoning police reported on the following citations issued by officers.
Chief Sean Smith issued 24 speeding citations between March 31 and April 6. Of that, 18 were issued at Oak Street and Route 209, a 25 mph zone. Speeds ranged from 41 to 47 mph. Six were issued along Route 93 and the game lands, a 55 mph zone, with speeds ranging between 69 and 79 mph.
Smith also issued citations for operation of a vehicle without a certificate of inspection on March 31 at Oak Street and Route 209; driving while operating privilege is suspended or revoked on April 4 at Oak Street and 209; and operation of a vehicle without official certificate of inspection on April 6 at Route 903 and game lands.
Officer Timothy Wuttke issued three speeding citations, one at Oak Street and Route 209 on April 4, 42 mph in a 25 mph zone; and two along Route 54 on April 5, a 40 mph zone, with speeds of 76 and 66 mph.
He also issued the following citations at Route 54 and First Avenue: permitting violation of title, accidents involving damage to unattended vehicle or property, false reports, and driving while operating privilege is suspended for revoked, all on March 31.
Officer Robert Blisard issued a careless driving citation on April 1 along Route 209.
Officer Richard Neikam issued a speeding citation on April 3 along Route 54, 58 mph in a 40 zone.
