Schuylkill driver facing DUI charge
A Schuylkill County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence following an incident that occurred at 3:49 a.m. Sunday.
State police at Schuylkill Haven said Chad Harig, 32, of Port Carbon, was stopped along Route 25 in Hegins Township for traffic violations.
Troopers said Harig was suspected of operating his 1998 Chevrolet Lumina under the influence of a controlled substance. He was given field sobriety tests and was then transported to the Schuylkill Medical Center-South Jackson Street in Pottsville, where he submitted to a blood test.
