Vandalism incident reported in Monroe

State police at Lehighton are investigating a criminal mischief/agricultural vandalism incident in Monroe County.

Troopers said the incident occurred on the property in the 300 block of Silfies Road, Kunkletown, Eldred Township, at 4:49 a.m. on Sunday. Troopers said a vehicle was driven on the victim's farm property. As the victim approached the suspect vehicle on foot the driver fled the property by driving through the victim's alfalfa field, causing an estimated $1,000 in damages to the field and crop.

The suspect vehicle is an older model two-door dark green or blue Ford Explorer. Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at 610-681-1850.
