Police serve warrant, find contraband

Coaldale Police served an active arrest warrant on Anthony W. Hill, 26, of 67 Second St., Coaldale, on April 10, then filed drug-related charges against Hill after finding contraband during a weapons search.

Officers went to Hill's home address at 8:53 p.m. to serve the warrant and took Hill into custody without incident. During a search of Hill's person, officers found a blue bandanna wrapped around three orange capped syringes, a silver spoon with dried residue, multiple empty baggies, a silver knife and several baggies containing a brown powdery substance, which field tested positive for heroin.

Hill was transported to the prison on the warrant, which was issued by the Carbon County Adult Probation Office.

Coaldale Police have charged him with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
