New Tripoli man is hurt in crash

Jose Rivera, 24, of New Tripoli, sustained minor cuts and bruises to his head in a one-vehicle crash at 8:38 p.m. April 21 in the 9000 block of Main Street (Old Route 22) in Fogelsville.

Upper Macungie Township police said he refused treatment from EMS responders.

Police said the accident happened when he was driving a 2007 Nissan Sentra that went out of control and struck a utility pole. The vehicle sustained major damages to its passenger side and required towing from the scene.

Police said Rivera was cited after police learned he was driving with asuspended license.
