Police probing hit-and-run crash

State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks are investigating a hit-and-run crash that happened around midnight April 23 in Cressona.

Police said an unknown vehicle traveling south on Route 183 turned onto River Street and, traveling at a high rate of speed, went out of control and struck the side of a house along the north berm.

After the impact with the house, the vehicle left the scene.

The vehicle is a dark blue automobile (possibly a Volkswagen).
