What happened to swift justice?

Dear Editor,

Regarding a recent Times News front-page headline, why should Carbon County "judges discuss strategies to keep people out of jail" when they already have the best one going it's called "continuation," especially when it happens seven to eight times in a row as it has in my case.

As the victim, I am appalled that over a year later the defendant still has not paid his dues nor served his time.

To paraphrase an old song, "where have all the justices gone ... long time passing ..."
