Schuylkill crash

No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle crash that occurred at 3:50 a.m. on Saturday along Summer Valley Road (Route 443) at the intersection with Evergreen Drive in East Brunswick Township, Schuylkill County.

State police at Frackville said Joshua J. Derfler, 25, of New Philadelphia, driving a 2006 Subaru Outback, and Jason M. Heinrich, 34, of Warners, New York, driving a 2001 Mack tractor, were both eastbound when Derfler failed to observe Heinrich ahead of him. The Outback struck the rear of the truck. Damages were disabling to the Outback and minor to the truck.

Troopers said Derfler was charged with following too closely.
