Domestic incident leads to charges

A 911 hang-up call on April 15 resulted in charges being filed against Raymond Anthony White, 29, of 238 W. Rowe St., Tamaqua.

Tamaqua police were advised of the call at 10:04 a.m. and responded to the residence for a welfare check. On scene they were met by White, who invited them into his home. Officers spoke with White and a woman, who both admitted being involved in an argument. He said the disagreement was verbal only. She said he grabbed her by the arms and pushed her into a wall, where she struck her head. There was a lump on the back of her head.

White was charged with simple assault and harassment.
