Food drive

The Lansford/Coaldale Post Office is having its annual food drive on May 9. People are asked to participate by having nonperishables by their mailbox on that day. The letter carrier will pick them up and bring them to the local food bank. Nonperishables will also be accepted in the lobbies of Lansford and Coaldale Post Offices through May 9.

Christ Redeemer Church

This week's service at Christ Redeemer Church, 151 Third St., Coaldale, will be held Sunday instead of Saturday.

Little League

Opening day for the Lansford Little League is Saturday.

A field dedication program will begin at 3:30 p.m. with the first pitch at 5 p.m.

The community is invited to attend.
