Published August 06. 2015 04:00PM

A traffic stop in Monroe County has led to the arrest of a wanted person.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said about 10 p.m. on July 31 officers stopped a maroon Dodge Dakota pickup for traffic violations along Long Pond Road, at Kuhenbeaker Road in Tunkhannock Township. The driver was identified as David J. O'Brien, 29, of Pocono Lake.

A routine check determined that O'Brien had an outstanding warrant for his arrest issued out of Luzerne County sheriff's office. He was arrested and transported to the county prison in Snydersville pending transfer to Luzerne officials.
