Palmerton police log

Palmerton Police Department continues to investigate the following incidents:

False ID: Criminal charges were filed against Shawn Berger, 35, of Effort, for false identification to law enforcement. Charges were also filed against Rickey Tartaglia, 26, of Effort, for possession of drug paraphernalia and public drunkenness. The incident occurred on March 6 at 2:31 p.m. in the 600 block of Delaware Avenue.

Possession: Criminal charges were filed against Cole Kerschner, 24, of Lehighton, for DUI, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, possession of a small amount of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. The incident occurred on July 10 at 7:11 a.m. on Fifth Street.

Criminal charges were filed against Mark Duffy, 27, no current address, for unlawful possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. The incident occurred on July 29 at 4 p.m. in the 800 block of West Edgemont Avenue.

Theft: Criminal charges were filed against Destiny Hill, 24, of Jim Thorpe, for identity theft, two counts of criminal conspiracy, theft, and receiving stolen property. Charges were also filed against Daniel Sauerzopf, 25, no known address, for identity theft, access device fraud, criminal conspiracy, and receiving stolen property. Charges were also filed against Amy Frohnheiser, 38, of Palmerton, for identity theft, two counts of criminal conspiracy, and receiving stolen property. The incident occurred between July 1-10 in the 400 block of Delaware Avenue.

Dena Betz, 35, of Lehighton, was cited for retail theft. The violation occurred on Aug. 11 at 6:10 p.m. in the 500 block of Delaware Avenue.

Public drunkenness: Benjamin DeLong, 21, of Palmerton, was cited for alcoholic beverages and public drunkenness. The violations occurred on Aug. 6 at 11:41 p.m. in the 200 block of Avenue A.

Alcoholic beverages: Donald Royer, 57, of Palmerton, was cited for restrictions on alcoholic beverages. The violation occurred on Aug. 9 in the 600 block of Delaware Avenue.

Unlawful activities: Anthony Hollenbach, 18, of Palmerton, was cited for unlawful activities and expired inspection. The violation occurred on Aug. 5 at 6:19 p.m. on Mauch Chunk Road.

Invalid license: Anthony McGraw, 28, of Palmerton, was cited for notice of change of name or address, moving permit, carrying and exhibiting driver's license on demand, and operation of vehicle without valid license. The violations occurred on Aug. 6 at 8 p.m. at Mauch Chunk Road and Delaware Avenue.

Junk vehicles: Gail Guzick, 57, of Palmerton, was cited for junk vehicles. The violation occurred on July 16 at 8:35 a.m. in the 100 block of Lehigh Avenue.

Police also issued four citations each for traffic violations and vehicle violations, and one for speeding.
