Schuylkill driver facing DUI charge

A Schuylkill County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence following a traffic stop that occurred at 9:15 p.m. on Saturday along Route 1006 in Ryan Township.

State police at Frackville said Thomas Yashinsky, 62, of Schuylkill Haven, was stopped by troopers at that location. He was found to be under the influence and taken to the barracks for a breath test. The results of the test showed he was over the legal limit of 0.08 percent, troopers said.

Charges will be filed.
