Carbon driver in Monroe crash

A Carbon County driver was involved in a one-vehicle crash along Interstate 80 in Tunkhannock Township, Monroe County.

State police at Fern Ridge said Lynn J. Walters, 59, of Weatherly, was driving a 2006 Toyota Corolla eastbound in the left lane passing another vehicle when she swerved left and crashed into a guide rail along the left shoulder. The car then deflected off the rail and crossed over the two eastbound lanes and struck the guide rail on the right shoulder head-on.

Walters was not injured but damages were disabling to the Corolla.
