One injured in Schuylkill crash

State police at Frackville reported investigating a rear-end crash which resulted in one person being injured. The crash occurred at 1:32 p.m on Friday along Mount Laffee Road, in New Castle Township.

Troopers said Kathy D. Stuck, 46, of Minersville, driving a 2007 Chevrolet Impala, and Taylor M. Grigalonis, 20, of Branchdale, driving a 1999 Volkewagen Jetta, were both westbound. Grigalonis stopped for a truck turning left into the Saint Nicholas Breaker.

Stuck failed to stop and the front of her Impala struck the rear of the Jetta.

A passenger with Grigalonis, David S. Bush, 32, of Pottsville, sustained a minor injury and was taken to the Schuylkill Medical Center-E. Norwegian Street, Pottsville.

Troopers said Stuck was cited for following too closely.
