Woman cited after Tamaqua assault

A Coaldale woman was cited by Tamaqua Police after she reportedly punched another woman in the face.

Officers were dispatched to 103 Washington St. at 1:28 p.m. on Aug. 5 for a reported assault.

They spoke with the victim, who said she had been driving her van on Washington Street when she became involved in an argument with a passenger, Krystal Joy Stahler, 25, of 95 W. Miner St., Coaldale.

Stahler punched her in the face with a closed fist and continued punching her as the victim stopped and exited the van. The victim suspected her nose was broken and said she would seek treatment at a hospital.

Stahler was cited for simple assault and harassment.
