Mahoning police report on incidents

Two people have been charged with retail theft at Walmart.

Mahoning Township Police Department said that on Nov. 12 at 2:45 p.m. a retail theft occurred at Walmart.

Loss prevention reported Bryce Hunsicker, 48, of Lehighton, left the store with concealed merchandise valued at $79.89 that he had not purchased.

Hunsicker has been charged with retail theft, a misdemeanor.

A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for Jan. 13.

Mahoning police also said that on Nov. 20 at 11:50 a.m., a retail theft occurred at Walmart.

Loss prevention reported Patricia Dempsey, 54, of Palmerton, concealed merchandise in plastic bags placed inside a shopping cart.

Dempsey then attempted to leave the store, failing to purchase any of the items valued at $287.44.

She has been charged with retail theft, a misdemeanor.

A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for Jan. 13.
