Monroe crash investigated

State police at Fern Ridge reported investigating a one-vehicle crash about 3:20 p.m. on Wednesday along Sugar Hollow Road near the intersection with Route 715, in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County.

Troopers said David J. Eremo, 47, of Scranton, was driving a 2001 Ford Explorer eastbound and came around a curve when he encountered traffic backed up at a stop sign at the intersection. Eremo swerved to the right to avoid hitting vehicles in front of him. His Explorer went onto the berm and struck the guide rail along the right shoulder.

Eremo was not injured but the vehicle had to be towed.
