Vehicle stop leads to drug charges

A vehicle stop in Carbon County has led to a Luzerne County resident facing drug charges.

State police at Lehighton said a vehicle was stopped at 6:15 p.m. on Nov. 25 along Maury Road, at Kittner Lane, in Penn Forest Township during a regulatory traffic checkpoint. A search of the vehicle was conducted after troopers detected indicators of criminal activity. A a small amount of marijuana was found in the back seat of the vehicle.

A passenger in the vehicle, Jacob Michael Dombek, 23, of Swoyersville, was arrested for drug law violation.
