Driver without license charged with DUI

A Reading man has been cited by McAdoo police in connection with a Sept. 19 traffic stop in the borough.

Police received a call about an erratic driver traveling north on Route 309. The suspect vehicle was a Honda Accord, which the officer found at the intersection of 309 and Taylor Street. As the officer approached he saw the Honda traveling slowly, swerving and striking the curb. He initiated a traffic stop and identified the driver as Abner Figeroa.

Figeroa admitted he didn't have a driver's license and that he had been drinking alcohol.

He was given, and failed, field sobriety tests, earning him a citation for driving under the influence of alcohol.
